Location: Cala Morell is the first cove on the north western side of Menorca.
Description: A spectacular cove surrounded by high cliffs on each side with a variety of beautiful typical Menorcan houses built into the cliff faces. The cobalt blue shade of the sea is due to the depth of the bay which is the highlight of the cove known as one of the best for diving on Menorca with its underground caves. On one side of the bay there is sandy beach which is approx 200m long and shallow at the shore. There are also other rock platforms around the bay to access the sea. No wheelchair or stroller access.
Perfect For: Families at the beach or confident swimmers around the bay.
Access Level: Medium. All access points are via steep staircases without railings.
Parking: Limited street parking only. Fills up early in the summer!
Bus: Yes, direct from Ciutadella.
Toilets: No.
Lifeguard: No
Food & Drink: Yes. Kiosk/ Beach Bar with incredible views and snack bar menu. Highly recommended!

Boat Access: From the sea for pick up only, private ramp and mooring.
Rubbish & Recycling: No. Remember your take away rubbish bag!
Access 1 ā From Mahon head towards Ciutadella then at the entrance roundabout for Ciutadella follow the signs for Cala Morell. At the first roundabout turn right. The second roundabout is signposted for Cala Morell and Platjes dāAlgaiarens, turn right following the signs. Continue along the road until it forks one direction for Cala Morell and the other for Algaiarens. The road terminates at the urbanization where you can either turn right or left at the round about to arrive at the cove. Both are signposted āplayaā.
Access 2 – Via the sea via boat, kayak or jet ski.

Dispose of your rubbish, cigarette butts included! There are garbage and recycling bins in the car parks and every street. Reuse plastic bags to take your waste to the closest bin.
