Location: On the northwestern coast of Menorca, north of Ciutadella. It is one of four small picturesque coves that surround the Los Delfines tourist urbanization.
Description: Cala’n Blanes is a long attractive calm cove, The beach itself whist small is fully serviced during the summer and easily accessible, making it a great place for a drink or to pass the day in the sun. It’s wider and shallower than the other coves in the area.
Perfect for: Families with little ones or groups to enjoy a BBQ.
Services: The beach itself is distinguished by the tall palm trees that shade a newly developed BBQ & picnic area open to the pubic with several open BBQs and wooden tables and chairs for each. There is a children’s play area in the form of a pirate ship and a beach hut bar with tables and chairs. There is also a kiosk and the Pirates Cove Restaurant which has an open terrace with a wonderful view of the cove.
Access Level: Easily accessible for everyone. No stairs, or ramp access. Wheelchairs and strollers OK.
Parking: Free street parking is available next to the cove at both access points.
Bus: Bus Stops next 5 min walk from the main road Avinguda Símón de Olivar or the block of shops beforehand.
Toilets: Yes, public toilets are available.
Lifeguard: Yes
Kiosk/ Café: Yes. On beach kiosk, bar, and restaurant.
Unbrellas & Sunbeds: Yes
Water Activities: Yes. Paddle boat Rental available.
Boat Access: Yes. Access from the sea to the beach for drop-off only.
Rubbish & Recycling Bins: Yes. On the beach and neighbouring streets.
Driving Directions: Follow the signs to Ciutadella, then pass round the series of roundabouts heading north. Follow the signs that say ‘port’. Turn right at the roundabout with the ‘SYP’ supermarket and petrol station on the right-hand side and follow the road to another round about with a stone T in the middle. From here you can either go around the roundabout to the left and follow the road as far as you can go to park. Or turn right here passing a Eurocar office and Churchill’s Pub. Turn immediately left into Carrer Torre de S’Aigua and drive to the end passing a set of shops on your right. The end of the street there is a stop with the entrance to Cala’n Blanes through the fence on the left. Park where ever you can here.
Access 1: From the street level of Carrer Torre de S’Aigua via a long sloping path to the beach level. Level of difficulty: EASY. (2min)
Access 2: From the roundabout with the stone T in the middle go around the round about taking the left exit and go to the end of the street. Park on the street where you can and follow on foot the road to the right descending down to the beach Level of difficulty: MEDIUM. (2mins)

Dispose of your rubbish, cigarette butts included! There are garbage and recycling bins in the car parks and every street. Reuse plastic bags to take your waste to the closest bin.

Love this beach! Visited in 2011. Missed it so much visiting again in 2016. Ideal for lazy days and nights!
