Son Saura
Location: Son Saura is on the south western side of Menorca in between Son Xoriguer and Es Talaier.
Description: The cove consists of two beaches seperated by a rocky headland in the middle. The western beach is called Platja d’es Banyuls and the eastern Son Saura and both ar medium sized white sandy beaches. The two beaches together make the Son Saura cove one of the biggest in Menorca with shallow calm waters that open out into a large bright blue bay.
Perfect For: Families with walking age children,
couples, groups and boats.
Access Level: Medium. Walking is necessary from the car park.
No stroller or wheelchair access.
Parking: Yes. 5 – 10 minutes walk.
Bus: No public transport.
Toilets: Yes
Lifeguard: Yes

Boat Access: Beach access and mooring for boats
are marked out by bouys
Rubbish & Recycling: Yes at the edge of the beach and car park.
Access 1 – On the ring road with the roundabouts on the outskirts of Ciutadella take the roundabout exit for ‘Sant Joan de Missa’. You will also see a large sign for the parking for the three beaches ‘Son Saura’, ‘Cala Turqueta’ and ‘Macarella’ at this exit. Follow this narrow road straight ahead round all the curves till you get to a distinct signposted fork in the road. Veer right towards Son Saura and park in the free car park and walk to the beach.
Access 2 – Via the sea. Son Saura is perfect for either boat, kayak or jet ski.

Dispose of your rubbish, cigarette butts included! There are garbage and recycling bins in the car parks and every street. Reuse plastic bags to take your waste to the closest bin.
