Location: The most northerly on the western coast of Menorca, north of Ciutadella. It is within the urbanization of Los Delfines and surrounded by apartments, shops and restaurants.
Description: Calas Picas is a small narrow cove, with a very small sandy beach and calm clear water most days.
Perfect for: For families with young children who want to stay close to their accommodation and spend a short time playing in the sand.
Access Level: Easily accessible on foot for most comfortable walkers via various short descending track access with some steps. Wheelchair and stroller access possible but difficult, not recommended.
Parking: Free street parking is available a short distance from the cove from Access 1 & 2.
Toilets: No public toilets. Short walk back to apartments, shops or restaurants.

Arrival: Follow the signs to Ciutadella, then pass round the series of roundabouts heading north. Follow the signs that say āportā. Turn right at the roundabout with the āSYPā supermarket and petrol station on the right hand side and follow the road to another round about with a stone T in the middle. Turn right here passing a Eurocar office and Churchillās Pub. Follow this road straight along passing straight through a roundabout with a small stone hut in the middle, then shortly after pass the street on the right for signposted to the hippodrome. Shortly after, you will see the āTop Marketā Supermarket on the right with a childrenās play area next door.Ā Park here near āTop Marketā or veer to the street on the right where you will soon after find the Binimar Apartments. Turn left directly after the Binimar Apartments and drive to the end of the street to park.
Access 1: Take the dead end road next to Binimar Apartments all the way to the end, limited free parking there. Follow the marked track on top of the rocked veering left following the small sign that says āPlayaā and descend down the rocks with the built in staircase to the beach.
Level of difficulty: MEDIUM.
Access 2: No Steps. Next to the Top Market Childrenās play area you will see a recycling deposit station with a signposted access āPlaya Cales Piquesā. It’s a wide flat dirt track where it is possible for strollers and wheelchairs to arrive at the beach as well as more fragile walkers.
Level of difficulty: EASY.
Access 3: Southern access is from the street called Carrer de Valladolid which is off the main road through the urbanization called Carrer de Los Delfines. At the central roundabout with the statue of a person in the middle head down the street between the Restaurant Haiti on one corner and Bar Blu Bru on the other. Carrer de Valladolid is the next right with the Restaurant Bar Yuca on the corner. NO PARKING is available around this area, access is best on foot. Heading into Carrer de Valladolid, access to the beach is by turning right on a concreted path indicated with a small sign āPlaya Beachā. There are 65 steps down to reach the sand.
