Description: Cala’n Forcat is a small forked cove, on the north western coast of Menorca with calm sea. It is one of four small picturesque coves that surround the Los Delfines tourist urbanization.
Characterized by its unique shape and setting of rocky cliffs, bathing platforms and the majestic Farragut Hotel on the northern side, the inlets are connected by beautiful little bridges. There are two very small sandy beaches at the end of either inlet, but the best bit about Cala’n Forcat is exploring it’s perimeter and seabed.
Perfect for: Sunbathing on one of the rocky platforms, admiring the view floating from the water or snorkeling. You can take small kids to the northern side with sand and shallow entry but it’s not the best beach for kids. Better for agile adults and competent swimmers to enjoy the calm cove. Worth a visit with your camera!
Access Level: Easily accessible on foot for most comfortable walkers via various short descending track access with some steps. Wheelchairs and strollers possible but not recommended.
Parking: Free street parking is available a short distance from the cove at access points 2, 3, and 4. Limited street parking available from Access 1.
Bus: Bus Stops next to Access 1 & 2
Toilets: No public toilets. Short walk back to hotel, shops or restaurants.

Rubbish & Recycling Bins: Close by on the street
Driving Directions: Follow the signs to Ciutadella, then pass 
round the series of roundabouts heading north. Follow the signs that say ‘port’. Turn right at the roundabout with the ‘SYP’ supermarket and petrol station on the right hand side and follow the road to another round about with a stone T in the middle. Turn right here passing a Eurocar office and Churchill’s Pub. Turn immediately left into Carrer Torre de S’Aigua and drive to the end passing a set of shops on your right. At the bottom of the street take a sharp right into Avinguda Símón de Olivar and drive all the way along passing through the blue arch entry to Los Delfines. Continue straight ahead passing straight through the roundabout with the statue in the middle and follow the road around which does a loop past the sea. It is only one way. You will then see the Farragut Hotel on your right. Get off the bus here or park wherever possible. Hotel Parking for guests only.
Access 1: Next to the Farragut Hotel there is a phone box, directly behind is the staircase that goes down to the beach. 53 Steps in excellent condition, no hand railing. Level of difficulty: MEDIUM. (2mins)
Access 2: Next to the Aqua Park at the other end of Los Delfines near the Blue Arch. Passing through the green park area next to Castaways. The longest/ scenic route to the beach passing between the Aqua Park and behind the shops on the street. It’s flat and wide dirt track with no steps. Level of difficulty: EASY. (10mins)
Access 3: Behind the Los Delfines Hotel, next to the Recycling Containers and phone box there is a signposted decent which leads to a nature track that passes by remains of Roman Funeral Chambers on it’s way down to Cala’n Forcat. Level of Difficulty: MEDIUM (5mins)
Access 4: From the main road with the shops turn down the street Calle de Nerbion which is near the Blue Arch between Plaza Domingo and Aqua Park. With the Hotel Los Delfines in front veer right passing between the hotel on the left and Aqua Park on the right. Take the next veer right into Calle de Madrio and walk all the way to the end which is a cul-de-sac. On the left you will see a public pathway that cuts through to the other street which has a path that leads down past the Happy Sub Diving to the cove via some steps. Level of Difficulty: EASY (10mins)

Dispose of your rubbish, cigarette butts included! There are garbage and recycling bins in the car parks and every street. Reuse plastic bags to take your waste to the nearest bin, its the least we can all do. Take some beautiful photos…. but also take all your rubbish with you. GRACIAS!
